Wild 4 Life

At Wild 4 Life we strive to create daily experiences that nourish the soul through outdoor adventures, meaningful friendships, important life skills and loads of fun outings. 

A typical day, taking into consideration the diversity of needs and abilities, include outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, biking, skating, skiing, swimming, frisbee golf, tennis, fishing, rafting, etc. 

We also focus on daily activities such as cooking, baking, gardening, crafts, animal therapy, music and games at our home location. 

Regular community outings include Spray Lakes Recreation Centre, bowling, grocery shopping, volunteering, library visits, art lessons, movies and more. 

In addition, we enjoy occasional outings to The Zoo, Telus Spark, Butterfield Acres, Granary Road, festivals, farm visits, theatre productions, and much more.

Founder: 

Larissa MacMillan has been a teacher since 2001. In 2014 she returned to university to receive a professional diploma in Inclusive and Special Education. Since that time she has worked with high school students with special needs. Her time as a Life Skills Teacher has been the most rewarding and enjoyable part of her career in education. In recent years she has become aware of the dire need for quality day programming for adults with disabilities as the demand for spots currently exceeds the availability.

Recognizing the lack of programming available, Larissa decided to combine her passions of nature, physical movement and helping the disadvantaged by opening a small and unique day program for adults with intellectual disabilities. 

Our full time program runs from September to June and observes the same holiday and school schedule as the Rockyview Board of Education.

We currently offer modified programming during the summer months. Please enquire if interested.

Full Time Attendance: 

Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm

$25 an hour

Extra hours can be arranged upon request in advance
